Somewhere between folk, jazz and blues, lies the music of Holly Taymar.
With 'one of the most distinctive voices in the Yorkshire area' and a relentless gig schedule, Holly has truly earned her reputation as one of the North's most respected acoustic performers. Delicate, finger picked acoustic guitar, a repertoire of unpretentious songs and a naturally warm stage presence and rapport with accompanist Christopher Bilton (mandolin, cajon, banjo, guitar) - over the last few years, together Holly and Christopher have honed their live show and performed extensively in the UK, which has earned them national airplay from BBC Radio 2 presenter Steve Lamacq (being his 'one to watch' in May 2011) and a prestigious place in the Glastonbury Emerging Talent 2011 longlist. Holly also holds a First Class Honours degree in Performance: Music (2010), and has led several community based music projects (usually involving ukuleles) - so she's not just a hat rack friends.

'Endearingly lovely...an autotune-free zone, if you've ever seen her perform live, which I heartily recommend by the way, you'll know she really is THAT good...' Matt Seymour, BBC Raw Talent, Feb 2011
